Blister Sisters is Hastings’ slowest, proudest, most gloriously unbothered jogging crew! No egos. No pressure. Just 30 mins of feel-good, early morning movement, fresh air and a healthy dose of "YES WE DID!" 💥 Founded by yoga teacher and self-proclaimed slow runner Jo, who leads our run/walk/shuffle sessions and curates a weekly uplifting playlist to keep us moving 🎧 Jog, walk, dance or limp. Why Run?!
How does it work?
We meet at 7am at The Bandstand and do a relaxed loop round the bottom half of the park, with lots of shortcut options for those wanting a shorter route.
We kindly ask that dogs and buggies are not brought on runs, allowing everyone to have some genuine time out.
Is there music?
Yes! Every week, you will be sent a curated Spotify playlist to get you moving, These are carefully curated by Jo to boost mood and motivate. You are, of course, welcome to use your own playlist, or enjoy the birdsong and peace, if you prefer!
What if it's raining?
We will run in all but the very worst of weather conditions. Running in the rain is actually very glorious and wonderful! All runs are optional.
Do I need to be fit?
Absolutely not. This is a group for people who want to get fitter! If you are already an Olympian, you will likely find our run/walks too short and too slow. Everyone goes at their own pace and resting if you need to is compulsory!
How do I join you?
Just turn up!!! Monday, Wednesday or Friday at 7am at The Bandstand. No fancy gear needed, Run/walk/shuffle in whatever you like. To join the mailing list for updates, sign up below.
